Rose Shinaberry, 89, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Sept. 10, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of the late Pietro and Irene DiPalo, she was born March 30, 1931, in Burke.
Rose was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a loving and caring friend and neighbor. Rose retired from Sterling Faucet in 1991. She later attended Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church where she enjoyed the friendship and fellowship of the members.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Irene Harwood; a son, Chuck Shinaberry and his fiancée Heidi; a daughter-in-law, Julie Shinaberry; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Holipsky; and was known as Aunt Rosie to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Shinaberry; her son, Hugh Shinaberry; and two sisters, Mary Terrant and Jean Friend.
Rose loved everyone she encountered and found beauty in each and every person. Her kind soul and sweet smile will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. A celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, with the Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE, as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
