William H. “Bill” Leister, 76, of Core, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 4, 1943, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Hilary and Gertrude Leister.
Survivors include his children, Beth Sheridan and husband Chuck, and William Leister and wife Tammy; his grandchildren, Kayla, C.J. and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Layla and Leah; and his sisters, Dorothy Wood, of Kelso, Calif., and Rosalind Yarham, of the United Kingdom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Kraus Leister, and a sister, Audrey Elizabeth Root.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired as a field engineer from IBM.
At Bill’s request, he will be cremated with no public services planned.
