Lonnie Isaac Taylor Sr., 74, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his bedside in Sundale Nursing Home, Sunday Aug. 30, 2020.
He was born July 28, 1946, in Morgantown, a son of the late Lonnie and Elizabeth Taylor. He was a 1964 graduate of Valley High School.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Taylor, of 46 years, the love of his life; a daugther, Tonya “Grumpy” Taylor Baker; and a grandson, Zachary Baker; a son, Lonnie Taylor Jr.; daughter, Tina; four stepsons, Jimmy, Randy, Timmy and Steve; one stepdaughter, Libby; and a sister, Karen Sorcossi.
He worked for King Knob Coal Company and was a retired truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Isaac Cooley, and a granddaughter, Taylor Rae Nicholson.
Honoring Lonnie’s wishes we donated his body to the WVU Gift Registry to help others.
