The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect who escaped from Mon Health Medical Center.
Thomas Lee Fincham, 51, is about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, according to Sheriff Perry Palmer. He was only wearing shorts and socks when he escaped.
Fincham was in a vehicle chase with the Pennsylvania State Police on Wednesday when he entered Monongalia County, Palmer said. He was apprehended on Darnell Hollow Road and taken to the hospital, where he was able to escape Thursday morning.
MECCA 911 said it was reported at 7:10 a.m.
The sheriff’s office is searching for Fincham in the vicinity using deputies and drones. MECCA 911 and Marion County 911 are assisting.
Anyone who sees Fincham is asked to call 304-291-7260.
Fincham will be facing charges in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia when he is caught, Palmer said.
