Harry Thomas “Tom” Spahr Jr., 75, of Terra Alta, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2020, at Windy Hill Village in Kingwood.
The son of Alice Marie Thomas Spahr, of Terra Alta, and the late Harry Thomas Spahr Sr., he was born Dec. 1, 1944, in Columbia, S.C.
Tom graduated from Terra Alta High School and WVU in Medical Technology. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 40 years and was the head of the Parasitology Department. After his retirement, he moved back home. He was an avid animal lover.
He is also survived by two sisters, Linda (Roger) Lewis and Mary Alice Spahr, all of Terra Alta; nephew, Andy (Gail) Graham; niece, Katie (Jacob) Harman; and great-nieces, Delilah and Paisley Harman.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Ann Spahr, and brother-in-law, Berlin Graham.

Cremation services provided by Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
