Dorothy Jean Cutlip, 86, of Westover, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, at Evergreen Assisted Living. Dorothy was born in Core on March 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Hawkins Neely.
Dorothy loved planting and growing different plants and flowers, but her great enjoyment came from being with her family. She was Protestant by faith.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Lynn Burress (David), of North Carolina; sons, Brian Keith Cutlip (Louan), of Morgantown, and David Earl Cutlip (Michelle), of Morgantown; sisters, Norma Neely, of Core, and Ruth Cramer, of Cincinnati; brother, Wayne Neely, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Lauren, Sara, Scott, Tabitha, Travis and Jessica; and great-grandchildren, Paige, Logan, Brody and Emily.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Derris Ford Cutlip; sisters, Naomi Moore and Elizabeth Speicher; and brother, Lynn Neely.
A graveside service will be held at Beverly Hills Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating. McCulla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
