Thelma Mae Nestor, 92, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Thelma was born in Morgantown to Loy C. Kyle Sr. and Reba Keene Kyle on May 23, 1928.
Thelma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and watching her birds and animals from the window.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Susan (Sam) Plum; sons, Ed (Donna), Terry (Sally), Dave (Sandy) and Randy (Sharon), as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert B. Nestor, in 2000, and son Robert C. “Bobby” Nestor in 2011; her brothers, Loy “June” Kyle Jr. and George “Ted” Kyle; sister, Gladys “Marie” Coby and one grandchild, Callie Conaway.
Family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23. Masks and social distancing will be required. Private funeral services will follow with Pastor Brian Plum officiating. Thelma will be laid to rest beside her husband at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Charlene Horan for many years of care and friendship, Dr. Gabrielle Sakellarides and staff, the staff at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and Dr. Alvin Moss.
