Shirley Jean Neely, 84, of Morgantown, passed away with her loving family by her side on Aug. 15, 2020. She was born in Grafton, on June 13, 1936, to the late James Bailey and Naomi Marie Finch Bailey.
Shirley worked for 18 years as an administrative secretary for West Virginia University. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family and make memories with them. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting states all over the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and seven different countries.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne M. Neely; daughters, Deanna Marie Frazier (Dan), of Morgantown, and Donna Jean Walden; son, Darrin Wayne Neely (Tracey), of Morgantown; grandchildren, Heather Davis (Ben), Nicole Wilson (Chase), Tara Groves (Buddy) and Cody Neely (Hannah); and one great-granddaughter, Emma Wilson.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Walden.
A private family graveside service was held at Beverly Hills Cemetery. McCulla Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
