A Granville man is accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in her home.
Nathaniel A. McGilton, 25, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse by the Granville Police Department.
McGilton is accused of going to the victim’s house, in Granville, on Feb. 10, to return a bottle of mustard, according to a criminal complaint.
He then started asking “sexual-based questions” and when the victim tried to go to the bathroom, he picked her up and touched her inappropriately, the complaint said.
McGilton then put her on a bed, held her down and continued to touch her for two or three minutes, according to the complaint.
The victim said she told McGilton to stop around five times and “even tried to kick him off,” the complaint said.
The victim disclosed the information in an interview at the Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center, according to the complaint.
McGilton was arraigned on Saturday by Magistrate Jim Nabors and is being held in North Central Regional Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
