Part of W. Va. 7 was closed for several hours on Monday morning because of a crash involving a tractor trailer.
The crash occurred about 5:30 a.m. on the hogback turn — where W. Va. 7 turns from Brockway Avenue to Earl L. Core Road – when the driver of a tractor trailer carrying gravel “failed to negotiate the turn” and the vehicle rolled on its side, according to Morgantown Communications Director Andrew Stacy.
The driver was taken the the hospital but his condition was not available on Monday afternoon, Stacy said.
No citation has been issued yet because the crash is still under investigation, Stacy said.That area of W. Va. 7 was closed until about 8:30 a.m., according to Stacy.
