The West Virginia Botanic Garden is celebrating two decades in operation with an online auction.
“This year’s annual fundraising event is taking on a different approach … due to ongoing recommendations to limit social gathering for the safety of the community,” reads the official WVBG Facebook page.
Victoria Cather, a sponsor of the auction, provided a list of items that are up for grabs this year, including “a New River Gorge getaway, artwork and photography by many Morgantown artists, themed baskets, fun excursions with community members, a home check-up package, quilts and more.”
The botanic garden has partnered with Joe R. Pyle Auction to conduct the online event. The auction went live Tuesday and will end at 6 p.m. Aug. 16.
Items won in the auction may be picked up at the West Virginia Botanic Garden Event and Education Center, 1061 Tyrone Road, on the following dates:
- 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 18
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 19
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 20
- 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 21
To sign up, those interested in participating in the auction should visit joerpyleauctions.com and locate the “Tall Oaks from Small Acorns Online-Only Benefit Auction” icon under “Upcoming Auctions.”
