Ronald Paul Bishop Sr., 70, of Bruceton Mills, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
The son of the late Ivan Paul and Ruth Teets Bishop, he was born May 22, 1950, in Morgantown.
Ronald was employed as a bus driver for WVU and as a custodian for Mon Health Medical Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing 4-wheelers and watching his grandchildren race 4-wheelers.
He is survived by his wife, May Marie Wilson Bishop; two sons, Ronald Paul Bishop Jr. and his wife Belinda, of Bruceton Mills, and Trenton Allen Bishop, of Bruceton Mills; two daughters, Mary Irons, of Fairmont, and Catherine Renee Bishop and her fiancé, David Roach, of Bruceton Mills; grandchildren, Morgan Bishop, Ryan Bishop, Logan Irons and Brayden Collins; and a sister, Cheryl Morris, of Morgantown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rhonda Jo Bishop.
Family and friends are invited to the Mount Moriah Cemetery, in Albright (Valley Point), for a memorial and interment service for Ronald from 11 a.m. Aug. 6. until 1 p.m. with Pastor Greg Moran officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to help with funeral expenses.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is requested that all attending wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills will be assisting the family with funeral and burial arrangements.
