Danny Lee Carnegie, 70, of Morgantown, formerly of Flemington, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 21, 2020.
Danny was born March 19, 1950, in Rochester, Pa., a son of the late Cecil A. and the late Vonda Rae (Vincent) Carnegie.
Danny was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a licensed WV Funeral Director who graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1975. Danny was the owner and operator of the former Carnegie Funeral Home in Flemington and attended St. Luke Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters and their families; two sisters, Sue and Linda; his nieces and nephews; and several loving friends.
At his request, there will be no funeral home visitation. However, friends may gather at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27 for a committal service officiated by the Rev. Father Biju T. Devassy, followed by the rendering of Full Military Honors. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to gather at the cemetery no later than 9:50 a.m. Monday. All attendees will be required to wear face masks by rule of the National Cemetery.
