Thomas Charles Delaney “MedCom Tom,” 63, of Morgantown, passed away July 19, 2020. The son of James and Annmarie Delaney, he was born on Sept. 5, 1956, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Tom was a United States Army veteran serving during the Gulf War. He was involved in EMS for 30 plus years and had a major role in starting the ambulance service in Monongalia County. Tom enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and listening to music.
Tom is survived by a son, Garrett Delaney and his wife, Jesse; a daughter, Loren Delany; two grandchildren, Eli Delaney and Camden Leach; and his siblings, Anna Browe, Thomas Wollack, Ida Mullins and Theresa Atanasio.
Tom was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Delaney and Charles Delaney; and a sister, Ellen Perez.
Private graveside services with full military honors will be held at West Virginia National Cemetery.
