Debora Leslie (Peach) Thomas, 63, of Kingwood, died on Monday, July 20, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 18, 1956, in Kingwood, a daughter of the late Lester Bolyard and Vira Rachel (Turner) Peach.
Debora retired from Ruby Memorial Hospital as a unit clerk. She was a lifetime member of the Fort Butler Post #826 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She liked to read, was an amazing cook and loved spending time with her friends at the F.O.E. 2391, where she was a member. Debora had a big heart and tried to help anyone she could.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, James “Jim” Milton Thomas; one son, Johnny Lipscomb, of Kingwood; one stepson, J.R. Thomas, of Friendsville, Md.; one daughter, Celena Thomas, of Kingwood; one stepdaughter, Gina Thomas, of Oakland, Md.; six sisters and spouse, Elizabeth Sisler, of Terra Alta, Lilly McCoy, of Atkinson, N.C., Linda Noss, of Edgemere, Md., Josephine Plum, Sandy and Bob Everly and Sherry Thedford, all of Kingwood; one brother, Clyde Peach, of Terra Alta; two grandchildren, Abryonna Thomas and Derek Haynes; sister-in-law and spouse, Deb and Jim Punday, of Green Castle, Pa.; and her best friend, Valerie Jones, of Kingwood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George “Tom” Thomas Peach.
Friends will be received at Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St., from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, and from 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24, until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Cremation services will be provided by Rotruck-Lobb Crematory following the service. Social distancing and masks are required.
