KINGWOOD — The Preston County Board of Education’s newly elected members took office Monday, July 6.
Incumbents Pam Feathers and Bruce Huggins will each serve full, four-year terms. New board Member Jeanne Dreisbach will fulfill the remaining two years of former board member Robert “Mac” McCrum’s term. McCrum resigned to seek state office.
They were sworn in by Preston County Clerk Linda Huggins.
Jack Keim was re-elected board president for the year, and Feathers was re-elected vice president. Both were selected on 5-0 votes with no opponents.
The board agreed to continue its regular meetings at 5 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of each Monday.
