Wanda G. DeVault Harold, 100, formerly of Morgantown, passed away June 23, 2020, at the home of her daughter, in Ellicott City, Md. Born Feb. 13, 1920, the daughter of Asa and Edna (Willard) McCartney, Wanda Married Jack E. DeVault, who died in an accident in 1941. She did not remarry until 1953.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years William A. (Bill) Harold, in 2015, her only son Richard Ellsworth DeVault, of Celina, Ohio, in 2018, her sister Helen and husband Max Hess, of Morgantown, brothers Kenneth and wife Margy (Dibb), of San Diego, Calif., and Wayne McCartney. In 1995 she lost grandson Douglas Allen Smith, of Ellicott City, Md., and recently son-in-law Richard Tylka, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly, of Carmichaels, Pa.
Surviving are Wanda’s two daughters Janice (the late Richard) Tylka of Raleigh, N.C., and Jacqueline (Ray) Falker of Ellicott, Md., daughter-in-law Jean Martin (the late Richard) DeVault, of Celina, Ohio; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, with another expected in September.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, where services scheduled for June 8 and 9 are not yet complete considering compliance with COVID-19 rules. Interment will be in the Mausoleum at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
