Betty Lou Arnett, 75, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Fairmont on Feb. 4, 1945, a daughter of the late Wayne Tinder and Pauline Durant Shipley.
Betty was a homemaker whose greatest joy came from taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ralph Wayne Arnett; daughters, Paula Lambert-Hutchinson (Wayne), of Westover, Debra Burns (Ronald), of Morgantown, and Kim Harvey (Mark), of Morgantown; son, David Arnett (Jodi), of Morgantown; sisters, Mary Jo Lilley and Lora Berry; brothers, Wayne Sonny Tinder and Donald Shipley; grandchildren, Nicholas Lambert, Logan Lambert, Josh Hutchinson, Mark Harvey Jr., Sasha Toothman, Miranda Harker, Baleigh Harvey, Justin Shine, Ryan Shine, Daniel Burns, Corey Burns, Travis Arnett and Colton Arnett; and great-grandchildren, Waylon, Landen, Hank, Rainah, Hunter, Carter, Damion, Dakota, McKenzie, Bentley, Kaydence, Zayden and Raygen.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Bryan Keith Thomas Lambert II.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 28, and from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Greg Lilley officiating. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions should be taken. Burial will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.
