Thelma Jean Randolph, 57, of Morgantown, passed Sunday evening, June 21, 2020, at her home in Morgantown, with her family at her side.
Born Jan. 23, 1963, in Yates Center, Kan., Thelma was a daughter of Elsie Mari Jesse Smith, and the late William Preston Smith Sr.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Sweet and his fiancé Tina, of Morgantown, and Chastity Talkington and her husband Robert, of Clarksburg; a grandson, Robert Talkington II; her siblings, Maria Little, of Indiana, Ann Kerwood and her husband George, of Clinton, Md., and William “Bill” Smith Jr. and his wife Bonnie, of New Martinsville; and her faithful canine companion, Daisy Mae.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shawn Schumm.
Thelma graduated from West Virginia Northern College with a degree in accounting and bookkeeping, and also received an online degree in medical billing. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, spending time with her family and friends and laughing.
Thelma’s family wishes to extend their appreciation to Amedysis Hospice for the care and support shown to her throughout her illness.
At her request, Thelma will be cremated and no public services will be held.
