Law enforcement officials with the Monongaila County Sheriff’s Department responded Thursday afternoon to reports of shots fired at Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park, at 228 Hartman Run Road, according to scanner traffic.
Sheriff Perry Palmer confirmed there were shots fired but said nobody was struck . He said detectives were speaking to persons of interest.
No additional information was available.
A park resident, Daniel Thomas, said he heard gunfire at about 3 p.m. Thursday at a mobile home near his. He said several people with guns were involved, and believed at least two people fired shots.
While he was unaware if anyone was injured, he said a dog was shot. Thomas said this is the second time this week law enforcement responded to a shots fired call at that particular mobile home.
