Larry Gene Matthews, 59, of Morgantown, passed away at his home on June 5, 2020. Larry was born in Fort Belvoir, Va., on Sept. 5, 1960, to the late Thomas Dale Matthews and Greta Lou Cress Matthews.
He worked for many years at West Virginia University in the Roads and Grounds Department; retiring after 37 years of service. Larry enjoyed being a biker, and rode Harleys for most of his adult life. In his spare time, he also liked gardening and woodworking.
Larry is survived by his sister, Dinah Lynn Sailor (Chuck); brothers, Thomas Matthews Jr. (Patricia), Keven Matthews (Peggy) and Alan Matthews; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his Harley brothers of the wind.
McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, until the service at noon where friends and family will be sharing memories.
