Nelson “Shane” Buckingham, 51, of Grafton, formerly of Rowlesburg, died on Friday, June 12, 2020.
Shane was born April 23, 1969, in Kingwood, a son of B.J. Buckingham, of Kingwood, and the late Irene Virginia (Bever) Buckingham.
He was a 1988 graduate of Rowlesburg High School. Shane was a member of the Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years, the Rowlesburg Volunteer Ambulance Service and the Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department for several years and with the Grafton City Fire Department.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his companion, Linda Johnson, of Grafton; one sister, Annetta Breese, of Rowlesburg; brother and spouse, Greg and Lois Bolyard, of Conway, S.C.; one brother-in-law, Forrest Goff, of Rowlesburg; step-grandson, Damion Weaver; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cheryl Goff; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Elizabeth Bolyard; and one brother-in-law, James Breese.
Friends will be received at the Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. with Kevin Kiplinger officiating. The family requests that you practice social distancing and masks are optional. Cremation Services were under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel.
