Rae Lynn Richardson

Rae Lynn Richardson, 48, of Canton, Texas, entered this world on March 6, 1972, and went to Heaven on May 26, 2020. Rae Lynn was born as the only child to Douglas (Jack) and Linda Richardson in Morgantown.

To cherish her memories, she leaves behind her daughter, Bailey Rose Richardson; son, Tucker Jackson Lester; brother (dog), Boss; ex-husband and dear friend, Mark Lester Jr; uncles, Elmer Mullins, Douglas Mullins and Zar Beerbower; aunts, Betty Mullins, Carmin Mullins, Janet Mullins, Nancy Mullins and Linda Mullins; and numerous cousins whom she loved each and every one dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Blaine and Louise Richardson and Herman and Edna Mullins; aunts, Helen Boden, Norma Brower, Shirley Mitchell, Ronda Richardson, Sharon Beerbower, Virginia Faulknier and Rosette Richardson; and uncles, Blaine Richardson, Bill Mullins, Delmer Mullins, Jack Mullins, E.J. Mullins, Howard Brower Jr., Frank Mitchell and Russell Faulknier.

Rae Lynn was a dedicated animal lover and always had many of them. She graduated from University High School in 1990. Rae Lynn attended West Virginia University in 1990, then attended Columbus Community State College, receiving her degree and becoming a registered nurse in 2002. She moved to Houston in 2003 then to Garland, Texas, Greenville, Texas and Canton, Texas. She always worked in the emergency room for various hospitals. She was a very caring, compassionate person, putting her heart and soul into her patients and enjoying every minute of it. She was an immensely proud and patriotic Army veteran.
Per Rae Lynn’s request, she will be cremated and returned to West Virginia. Donations can be made to the local animal rescue organization of your choice.
Memorial services will be held at Coopers Rock Overlook at 1 p.m. Aug. 8, 2020.
