Betty Jean Roush, 81, of Wana, passed away on June 9, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Nov. 11, 1938, in Germantown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lee Ralph Kehl Sr. and Grace Hendershot Kehl.
Betty graduated from Ohio Business College, Columbus, Ohio. She was a retired bookkeeper and office administrator from Bells Wholesale-Ping Grocery in Blacksville.
She was a member of the Clay-Battelle Senior Center and Grace Fellowship Church and was a community volunteer.
Betty embraced her family and everyone she met with her kindness, love, and motherly grace. Known to the community as Grandma Betty, she always had an open heart and ear for her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Al Roush, and beloved grandson, Timmy Roush.
Family members left behind to celebrate her life are her three sons, Arthur Roush (Susie), of Spraggs, Pa., Allen Roush and Jeff Roush, of Wana; daughters, Ruth “Rick” Fitzgerald, of Morgantown, and Becky “Billy” King, of Wadestown; 10 grandchildren, Chris Howard, Christina Muzichuck, Holly Fitzgerald, Jordan Roush, Jennifer Roush, Jarrett Roush, Arieka Roush, Kayla Roush, Levi King and Shane King; and five great-grandchildren, Nick Fitzgerald, Canaan Gilleland, Cannen Howard, Mason Roush and McKenna Howard.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Bonnie Broome, Sue Biehl, Ralph Kehl, Larry Kehl and Gary Kehl.
Deceased is one sister, Mae West Pickrell.
Also surviving are several beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Grace Fellowship Church in Wana from noon on Friday, June 12 until the service hour at 1 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Edwards officiating.
Interment of the cremains will take place at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blackville is in charge of arrangements.
