Marguerite Bucklew

Marguerite “Margie” Thomas Bucklew, 74 of Tunnelton, formerly of Bruceton Mills, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 4, 2020, with family by her side. She was born on March 2, 1946, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Carl and Ocie Hixenbaugh Thomas.

Margie had worked at the Preston County school system. She loved watching birds, squirrels and deer. She enjoyed camping, going to the beach, riding motorcycles and making up songs.

Margie is survived by her loving companion, Michael Barlow, of Tunnelton; two sons, Pete Bucklew and wife Rhonda, of Valley Point, and Eddie Bucklew and wife, Michele, of Tunnelton; two daughters, Ellen “Bubbles” Seese and husband, Mark, of Bruceton Mills, and Nancy Rexroad and husband, Vince, of Bruceton Mills; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Joe, Amanda, Niki, Felicia, Monica, Sammi, Hunter, Morgan, Jessica, Matt and Cameron; 14 great-grandchildren, Maggie, Nora, Ella, Delaney, Olivia, Millie, Jude, Kiara, Alex, Chloe, Easton, Jayce, Aiden and Lou Lou; her four legged companion, Ringo; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Bob” James Harvey Bucklew in 2010, 10 siblings, Delbert Tusing, Richard Thomas, Rollin Thomas, Ray Thomas, Lillian Thomas, Ira Thomas, Arles Thomas, Dora Singleton, Ellen Haslacker and Rita Hemrick.

Family will receive friends at Bolyard Funeral Home from noon-6 p.m. Sunday, June 7 with proper distancing and face mask required. A Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, with Pastor Barry Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Guthrie Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
