MORGANTOWN — Mylan and Upjohn have announced, in filings with the SEC, that their planned merger into Viatris will occur sometime during the fourth quarter of the year.
In light of the ongoing regulatory review process and delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic, they said, the closing of the deal won’t occur before Oct. 1 – unless they agree otherwise. The outside date is Dec. 31.
Mylan shareholders will hold an extraordinary general meeting on June 30 to approve matters related to the merger. On the same date they will have their annual general meeting to appoint board members and approve the say-on-pay proposal for executive compensation, among other items.
