David M. Golden, 69, of Morgantown, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
He was born on Jan. 2, 1951, son of the late Martha E. Calendrelli and Fred Golden. David served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1969 during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of D&M Snacks and was previously employed as a salesman for Jo’s Globe Distributing for many years.
David enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors. Many memories were made with his children, grandchildren and friends hunting and fishing at the farm.
David connected with many people throughout his life and never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty; children, Kim Kerns and husband, Brad, Mike Golden and companion, Kerri Tucker, Crystal Golden and Amy Golden; 10 grandchildren, Alicia Golden, Brandon Golden and Keyira Golden, Emily Kerns, Rachel Kerns, Marcellus Marshall, Tavis Dudley, Kennedy Marshall, Taner Hebb and Gabby Marshall; one brother, Dan Golden and wife, Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by mother, Martha E. Calendrelli; father, Fred Golden; and sister, Patricia Bowman.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family service.
Please join us for a graveside service at Summers Cemetery, Summers School Road at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4, with Pastor Daniel Strosnider and Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
Although guests are invited to come visit, they are strongly urged to abide by CDC pandemic outlines, including social distancing from one another, wearing masks and avoiding contact with others.
