Brian William Thomas, 33, of Morgantown, passed away at Mon Health Medical Center on Monday, May 25, 2020. He was born on Jan. 1, 1987, a son of John Thomas and Ann Coleman.
Brian was a 2005 graduate of Morgantown High School where he was a member of the marching band. He worked as an auto mechanic in the Morgantown area and a former member of the Army Reserves.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmothers, Delores Thomas and Dorothy Murphy; stepfather, Tim Coleman; children, Christopher, Alexis, Eddie, Lilly and Skyla; one brother, John Thomas Jr. and wife, Pam; stepbrother and sisters, Bethany Royce and Ashley McBride, Brendan Coleman and Brittany Coleman Larue; as well as several nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his fiancé, Crystal Canfield and her children, Raylynn and Waylynn and his former wife, Jamie Thomas and son, James.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Edward Thomas, and William Murphy, and stepmother, Cynthia Thomas.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. from 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 1, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Although guests are invited to come visit, they are strongly urged to abide by CDC pandemic outlines, including social distancing from one another, wearing masks and avoiding contact with others.
