A total of 159 ballots were cast Wednesday, on what Monongalia County Clerk Carye Blaney described as a “very slow” first day of early voting.
The pace picked up slightly on Thursday, with another 251 voters getting out to one of the county’s five early voting locations, including:
-Mountaineer Mall, 5000 Green Bag Road, Unit D-20
-Mason Dixon Park, 79 Buckeye Road, Core
-Westover Community Building, 399 Crowl St., Westover
-WVU Alumni Center, 1 Alumni Drive, Morgantown
-Fort Pierpont, Suite No. 102, 200 Fort Pierpont Drive, Morgantown
-Early voting is available 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday through June 6.
Voters have until June 3 to request an absentee ballot from Blaney’s office. All West Virginia voters have the option of voting absentee due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
