Guy Douglas Furman, 79, of Cheat Lake, passed away Sunday, May 17, at his home.
Guy was born on Feb. 19, 1941, the son of the late Harry and June Furman.
Guy graduated from University High School in 1958. He went on to be a member of Local 15 Bricklayers Union for 60 years and was self-employed. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kay Furman; son, Kirk Tucker; stepsons, Joe Trentini and his wife Romaine, Rick Trentini, Tim Trentini and his wife Jerica and Terry Ashby and his wife Regina; step-grandkids, Seth Trentini, Danielle Belanger, Joey Trentini, Ali Trentini, Drew Trentini, Dylan Wise and Briana Hartley; step-great-grandkids, Chloe Belanger, Noah Belanger and Kalec Trentini; sister, Joy Edgell and her husband Jim; and special cousin and friend Patty Gray.
In addition to his parents, Guy is preceded in death by his son, Michael Tucker; step-granddaughter Britnee Trentini; and brother, Tony Furman and his wife Teri.
The family wanted to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, caregivers Marie Bryan and Jamie Pride and the support provided from family and friends.

A family graveside service will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, with the Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard officiating.
