Donald “Don” LeRoy Feathers, 76, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at home with his family by his side.
Don was born in Morgantown, on June 17, 1943, a son of the late Chick Feathers and the late Mildred (Blosser) Feathers.
He was a 1961 graduate of Morgantown High and retired in 2007 from WVU after 44 years as a scientific instrument tech. He spent most of his retirement with his family, enjoying farming, tractor restoration, woodworking and gardening. He loved sharing his knowledge of craftsmanship and was patient in teaching anyone with the desire to learn.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Keyser) Feathers; a daughter, Lynn Morris and Gary, of Boulder City, Nev.; two sons, Rob Feathers and Pam, of Reedsville, and Mark Feathers, of Mt. Storm; a brother, John Feather and Debi, of Clarksburg; a sister, Pam Rotella and Mike, of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Melissa Morris and Jackson, Nicholas Morris and Rachel, Jacob DeVall, JoLynn Feathers and Jonathan Feathers; three stepchildren, Christina Menendez and Mark, Sean Beatty and Matthew Beatty and Carrie; four step-grandchildren, Joshua Harshman, Dylan Harshman, Sean Matthew Beatty and Cassandra Beatty and five step great-granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Feathers.
To honor his wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to the Field Funeral Home in Masontown.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of Don’s doctors and nurses that cared for him through his illness.
