Kingwood Public Library to reopen Monday

KINGWOOD — The Kingwood Public Library will reopen Monday.

The library will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday and resume normal hours after that.

According to the staff, many precautions have been put into place for virus prevention. Masks are required by staff and the public. Social distancing must be maintained, and patrons’ temperatures will be scanned at the door.

Admittance will be through the front door only. No more than 10 people total will be allowed inside at one time, and a 30-minute limit will be enforced on computer use. Only three people can be on the computers at a time.

Staff will provide pick-up at the side door if people don’t want to come in.

Call 304-329-1499 to order books to be placed at the side door.

Check the library’s Facebook page for further developments. In the event that the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Preston County rises, the library could close without notice to protect patrons and staff.
