Preston County Association of Retired School Employees will not meet May 19 at the Gladesville Community Building. The community association has cancelled all events and meetings until after May 30. Members of the PCARSE need to call Jane Murphy at 304-288-9309 to give her your volunteer hours from July 2019 through June 30. The next meeting is planned for June 16 at the Aurora United Methodist Church Memorial Building. Call Alma Snyder at 304-735-6754 before May 26 to make a reservation.
The Fairview Cemetery Association’s annual Memorial Day observation scheduled for May 24 has been cancelled.
The association will still place flags on veterans’ graves. At 10:30 a.m. May 24 Taps will be played, but there will be no public gathering. The cemetery is located in Pisgah, Preston County. For more information: www.pisgahfairviewcemetery.com/
The U.S. Military & Veterans Commemoration Day in Rowlesburg scheduled for June 27 has been cancelled. The Szilagyi Center and museums remain closed until further notice.
