Larry Lee “Beanie” Rowan, 76, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at his home. He was born Dec. 3, 1943, in Morgantown, a son of the late Albert Rowan and Isabelle Tichenor Rowan.
Larry was a longtime public servant, first serving as a Westover Policeman, then as a security officer for Consolidation Coal Company and a Monongalia County school bus driver.
Larry is survived by one daughter, Tabatha (David D.) Coombs, of Morgantown; one son, Larry Lee (Billie Jo) Rowan II, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Kevin (Megan) Rowan, Eric Rowan, Zachary Rowan, Emily Coombs, Audrey Coombs and Matthew Hollen; and several great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Rowan.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to McCulla Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
Private family burial services were held at Beverly Hills Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating. McCulla Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
