The Morgantown Police Department is investigating an armed home invasion robbery.
Officers went to an apartment on Pine Street, which is between Richwood Avenue and Forest Avenue, at 2:19 a.m., for the reported robbery, according to Deputy Chief Eric Powell.
Three residents of the home told police four men came into the house through the unlocked front door, Powell said.
All four suspects were wearing face masks, three had knives and one had a shotgun, Powell said.
The robbers demanded cash while brandishing the weapons and left with a “small amount of cash” and a handgun owned by one of the residents, Powell said.
Two of the men had shaved heads, one had blond hair and blue eyes and one was mixed race, according to Powell. One of them was carrying a gold “Vans” backpack.
No one was injured during the robbery, Morgantown Communications Manager Andrew Stacy said.
Detectives are investigating and anyone with information is asked to call 304-284-7454
