Nick Matthews, 40, of Clearfield, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1979, in Morgantown, a son of Richard Matthews and Robin (Snyder) Matthews.
Nick enjoyed hiking and being outdoors. He loved West Virginia University sports, especially Mountaineer football. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jamie (Lingle) Matthews, of Clearfield, Pa., whom he wed Aug. 27, 2016; a daughter, Sophie Matthews; three brothers, James Matthews and wife Cassie, Rich Matthews and wife Lauren, and J.B. Matthews and wife Brittney; a sister, Christina Krupa and husband Mark; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, 113 N. Third St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
