William R. ‘Bill’ Tennant, 72, of Pursglove, passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born May 15, 1947, in Morgantown, the son of the late William D. and Lorraine Dawson Tennant of Morgantown.
Bill retired from the United Mine Workers Association. He is survived by his lifelong partner, Katheryn ‘Kit’ L. Knisell; five stepchildren, Allen Knisell, Marsha Knisell, Beverly Knisell, Angela Knisell and Melanie Brown; 10 step-grandchildren; and several great-step-grandchildren.
Bill loved to spend his time boating at his lake house, was a huge sports fan and was an avid Mountaineer fan. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
