Miles Gene Clark, 89, of Manown, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Mon General Hospital with loving family by his side.
He was born Nov. 20, 1930, in Irona, a son of the late Bernadine and Evelyn Thomas Clark.
He graduated from Kingwood High School in 1948, worked at Sterling Faucet for 35 years as a machinist. He enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger, he also coached some little league teams for a few years. He was very active in bowling with several teams and did very well. He was a Boy Scout leader for a few years. Miles was a very talented person. He attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
Miles and his wife traveled in all 50 states, as well as three cruises, several countries in Europe and a special trip in 2018 to the Holy Land that he enjoyed. He loved square dancing and attended several conventions and saw a lot of beautiful country.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Maxine (Burke) Clark. He was a good father to his only son, Terry Clark and wife, Kim; his three daughters, Beverly Conley and husband, Fred, Brenda Armstead and Melinda Black, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; he is also survived by his brother, Lynwood Clark and wife, Shirley; two brother-in-laws, Robert and Charles Burke; two sister-in-laws, Cookie Burke and Sue Clark and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers Jack, Larry and Lowell Clark; his sister, Loralli Clark and two sister-in-laws, Christine Clark and Cathern Burke.
Browning Funeral Home is assisting the family with a private graveside service with Father Andrew Switzer officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Vincent DePaul in memory of Miles, sent to Paul Somerruk in care of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 322 E. Main Street, Kingwood, WV 26537.
