Frank Lloyd Swanger Jr., 74, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1946, in Morgantown, a son of the late Frank Lloyd Swanger and Bertha Lillian Croucher Swanger.
Frank was a retired school teacher in Monongalia County and attended the Morgantown Church of Christ. Frank was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and served with the Army Reserves.
Frank is survived by one son, Justin (Elizabeth) Swanger, of Beale AFB in California, grandchildren, Lindsey, Lila and Lacey Swanger; two sisters, Lillian Ellen DeCarlo, of New York, and Doris Irene Corteal, of Vanderbilt, Pa.; and niece, Kirah DeCarlo.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Jones Swanger.
The family requests that those desiring to make donations do so to the Children’s Ministry at the Morgantown Church of Christ, 361 Scott Ave., Morgantown, WV 26508.
Due to COVID-19, McCulla Funeral Home provided a private service for the family and burial took place at the IOOF Cemetery in Farmington, with full military honors conferred by WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson and Westover VFW #9916.
