Life-long resident of Charles Town, Louise P. “Billie” Propps, 91, passed away on April 13, 2020, in Morgantown.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1928, to the late Louise Riddleberger Pringle and William Gulick Pringle.
Billie was a graduate of Charles Town High School, class of 1947. She was a member of Zion Episcopal Church. Billie retired after more than 30 years with Badger Powhatan as a secretary and then buyer in the purchasing department.
Billie is survived by her three daughters: Catherine Jenkins and husband Bob, of San Antonio, Paula Mays and husband Mike, of Morgantown, and Jennie Sharp and husband Dan, of Westover. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Robbie Jenkins, Paula Davison, Ben Mays, Nate Mays, Michelle Wilkins, William Wilkins and Eric Wilkins. She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and friend and special sister-in-law, Gail Woods.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William H. (Bill) Pringle.
The family appreciates the kind care given to Billie by the nursing staff at Morgantown Health and Rehab Center, and gives a special thanks to the therapy team for their care and efforts in keeping her connected to her family. She will be sorely missed by her caring roommate, Regina, with whom she had a special bond.
Funeral care is being provided by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
Services will be held at a later date to be announced.
