Though visitors aren’t allowed inside, the Easter Bunny made a surprise visit outside Morgantown Health & Rehab on Van Voorhis Road Friday afternoon.
Kristi Powroznik, rehab program manager at the facility, said they have been trying to have special events that don’t involve social gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. They’ve had a visit from a T-Rex and a bubble wagon.
Powroznik put out a call on social media asking for an Easter Bunny costume or someone to be the holiday rabbit.
Mindy Parks, the University High School softball coach, came to the rescue.
She not only had the proper costume, she offered to put it on and hop around Morgantown Health & Rehab so residents could see her.
