A Star City woman is accused of breaking into an apartment and fighting a resident then fighting police when they arrested her.
Heather Blosser, 40, is charged with burglary by the Star City Police Department.
Officers responded to an apartment building on Canfield Street about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, for a possible fight, according to a criminal complaint.
When they arrived, Blosser was outside of the apartment where the fight allegedly took place and appeared to be crying and upset, the complaint said.
Blosser refused to listen to officers and walked away when they approached her, the complaint said. She smelled of alcohol and appeared “highly intoxicated.”
Blosser told officers she fought with a woman in the apartment, according to the complaint.
That woman’s mother told police her daughter left the apartment before officers arrived, according to the complaint. The mother said Blosser opened the door to her apartment, came inside and started physically fighting with her daughter.
In order to arrest Blosser, officers had to take her to the ground because she was combative and attempted to run away. On the ground, she was still combative and spit on an officer, the complaint said.
While the back of a patrol car, Blosser started yelling and hitting her head on the window, according to the complaint. As she was being taken to the sheriff’s department, she attacked the officer transporting her.
Additional charges are pending for that incident, the complaint said.
Blosser was arraigned on Saturday by Magistrate Sandy Holepit who set bond at $50,000. Blosser is being held in North Central Regional Jail.
