Phillip Rodney Higgins, 84, of Blacksville, died Sunday, March 29, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born Sept. 18, 1935, at Pentress, a son of the late John Wesley Higgins and Fern Evelyn Tennant Higgins.
Mr. Higgins was a retired delivery truck driver for the Blue Ridge Distributing Company.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Kisner Higgins; two sons, Robert “Crystal” Matteo and Joshua Kisner; two daughters, Judy “Brad” Cayton and Tamara Rohozen; one step-daughter, Carrie “Sid” Lastz; two sisters, Laura June Pettit and Genevieve Wilson; and several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Phillip Rodney Higgins Jr. and David Higgins; one daughter, Michelle Higgins; and several brothers and sisters.
There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
