Robert “Bob” Rohozen, 66, of Morgantown passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, of Morgantown, following a battle with cancer.
Bob was born in Morgantown on Sept. 9, 1953, the son of the late John Jacob and Mary (Sochko) Rohozen.
Bob was employed by Mylan Pharmaceuticals for 43 years before his retirement in 2018. He was a simple man who enjoyed just sitting on his porch, reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee in the morning and listening to music after his retirement.
He is survived by his brothers, John (Norma), from Morgantown, and Nicholas, from Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jacob and Mary (Jamber) Rohozen and Michael and Mary (Kormos) Sochko.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at The Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center for all the kindness, patience, compassion, and love shown to Bob and his family during this journey. They were the “best.”
Due to the COVID-19 virus, there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service in order to protect our family and friends, as well as those involved with his burial. The family has chosen to hold a private graveside service with Reverend Father George E. Ellis officiating.
Bob will be laid to rest alongside his parents at Mt. Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions in his memory be made to West Virginia University Foundation with the designation “Comfort Fund” in the memo.
Hastings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
