Leroy Warren Nuce, 74, of Wadestown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1946, in Monongalia County, a son of the late Damon Dale Nuce and Vivian Elaine Eaglen Nuce.
Leroy was a retired coal miner, working at both the National and Eastern mine and a proud member of the UMWA.
Leroy is survived by his wife Barbara Jean McCrobie Nuce, two sons, Damon Dale Nuce and Kristopher Warren Nuce, both of Morgantown, one daughter Tracey Lee Hupe, of Eagle River, Ala., two brothers, Phillip Gerald Nuce, of Granville, and Leslie Nuce, of Washington state, one sister, Cheryl Skidmore, of Pikesville, Ky., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by one brother, Damon Gail Nuce and one sister, Jeanette Metz.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, private graveside services were held Saturday at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. McCulla Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
