Edward L. Taylor, 67, of Reedsville, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his camp at Big Bear Lake.
He was born in Morgantown, on Aug. 13, 1952, a son of the late Warren Edward Taylor and the late Rosalee (Whitehair) Taylor.
Ed was a very kind and loving man. He retired from Brown Equipment and Machine after 26 years. He was a lifelong resident and former mayor of Reedsville and served many years on the Reedsville VFD, where he held the office of president for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, going to the Cogar’s hunting cabin and spent countless hours camping with his wife at Big Bear Lake. He loved and went everywhere with his four-legged friend, Murphy.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Jane (Martin) Taylor; a son Chad Jason Taylor, of Reedsville; a daughter Renee Dawn Taylor, of Morgantown; four grandsons, Jeron Zain Amorsso, Dillon Kelly Taylor, Kyle Goldsborough and Kayden Sheen Taylor; a granddaughter, Kendell Brook Taylor and father and mother-in-law, Richard William Lee Wiles and Stella Louise Wiles, of Brookhaven.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin Joseph Warren Taylor.
Due to this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private family viewing and graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ed’s memory c/o Field Funeral Home to assist the family in purchasing a memorial tree to plant.
