David Warren Wolfe Sr., 72, of Pentress, died Wednesday March 25, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Edna, W.Va., a son of the late William “Bill” Wolfe and Della Tichnor Wolfe.
Dave was a retired coal miner, having retired from Consolidation Coal Company. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 992 in Mt. Morris, Pa.
Surviving are his wife, Tamara P. “Tammy” Wilson Wolfe; two sons, David (Brandi) Wolfe, of Fairview and James (Sherry) Wolfe, of Wana; two daughters, Teressa (Joe) Jones, of Cassville, and Tamara (Joshua) Wolfe, of Blacksville; grandchildren, Gabrielle Wolfe, Preston Wolfe, Angelo Wolfe, Gage Wolfe, Christopher Wolfe, Lilliana Wolfe, Kadin McClurg, Madison McClurg, Slaten Jones, Mackenzie Chase and Landon Chase; and one great-grandchild, Jonah Tart.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley “Ray” Wolfe, Joe Wolfe, Boyd Wolfe and Denver Wolfe; and five sisters, Dorothy Smith, Evelyn Stansberry, Ann Long, Mary Fowler and Luella Konopko.
Due to the COVID-19 virus there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
