Kenneth G. Smith of Morgantown, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born June 23, 1940, to the late James and Genieve Johnson Smith of Mapletown, Pa.
He retired from Davis and Lynch Glass Factory in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Smith; daughters, Lora Smith (Matthew Davich) and Karla Simmons (Carolyn Tasker), all of Morgantown; stepdaughter, Cathy (Larry) Patterson of Independence, and stepson Gary (Becky) St. Clair, of Reedsville. Brothers include Jimmy (Sue) Smith, of Bobtown, Pa., Paul (Diane) Smith, of Waynesburg, Pa., and Denny (Marilyn) Smith, of Carmichaels, Pa. Sisters include Donna (Bob) Ondrojko, of Smithfield, Pa., and Darlene (Randy) Osborne, of Rock Hill, S.C., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Lee Smith and David Allen Smith, and one great-grandchild, Kenneth Wayne Pierce Jr.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family has chosen to have a private service at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Marques. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
