Dennis Gay Deavers, 83, of Granville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Dennis was born in Cassville, on Dec. 17, 1936, to the late Kenneth Deavers and Orpha Weber Deavers.
Dennis served in the Air Force and then worked as a manager in plumbing supply in Maryland, and later worked in Morgantown at Cardello’s.
He was a member of the Moose and spent a lot of time there. In his later years, he enjoyed watching TV with his companion Helen Wilhelm.
Dennis is survived by his companion, Helen Mae Wilhelm; sisters, Nancy Bellis and Janet Dalton; and brothers, Henry Deavers, Carl Thomas Deavers and William Deavers.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by two brothers: Roy Kenneth Deavers and Terry Deavers.
The family wishes to thank Delores Matheny and Marie Bryan for the care and compassion shown to Dennis and his family.
Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19 until the funeral service at noon. Private interment will take place at West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
