Clyde Dale Poling, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Mon Health Medical Center.
Dale was born on Aug. 13, 1946, to the late Victor and Agnes (Boyles) Poling.
He was a graduate of Morgantown High School, served in the West Virginia Army National Guard, was a Master Salesman at State Electronics and also worked as a Real Estate Agent for Pat Stewart Realty.
Dale was a faithful member of StoneBridge Baptist Church in Morgantown. He loved sharing the message of Jesus with everyone that he encountered, including through a weekly Bible study with his friends at Morgantown Unity Manor, where he resided before his death. Dale’s love for Christ was so deep that he even purchased a Honda Odyssey for the purpose of transporting people to weekly worship gatherings at StoneBridge. Dale never married, but was faithfully devoted to serving and caring for his parents before their death. His special riding buddy was his dog Sparky, whom he loved and cherished as a friend.
Dale is survived by his sister, Marie Cordwell, and her husband Ed, of Morgantown; nephew Victor Cordwell, of Morgantown; niece Kimberly Cordwell and husband Mike David, also of Morgantown; great-niece Morgan (Cordwell) Austin and husband Hayden Austin; great-nephew Skyler Cordwell; and great-niece Emily Mayle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Amy Cordwell.
Friends may join the family for a memorial service at StoneBridge Baptist Church, 6510 Mall Rd., Morgantown at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29. Pastor Jason Sheffstall will officiate.
